Wildewood Pastry Shop has been a family owned and operated European bakery since 1993. We offer breakfast pastries in the way of Danish, coffee cakes, muffins, scones and croissants. For those interested in desserts, there is a large selection of pies, tarts, cakes, cookies and chocolate filling the shelves and display cases.
Everything is baked on premises using only fresh and natural ingredients such as butter, real cream and imported European chocolate.
The chefs at Wildewood Pastry Shop are well known for their talent in custom cake design and their ability to create a unique work of art specific to each individual customer’s request.
Our chiefs have won the title of Best Pastry Shop in St. Mary’s County as well as numerous other titles. Wildewood Pastry Shop participates in many local fundraising and celebratory events regularly for organizations, institutions and businesses St. Mary’s County Public and Private Schools among others.

We are fortunate to be located in the well known and reputable Wildewood Shopping Center, in California, Maryland. The bakery is open six days a week.
Our head pastry chef, Peter Schmitter, completed a 3 year apprenticeship in Switzerland and was certified with top honors. He has worldwide work experience in cake decorating, sugar artistry and candy making, as well as in all other aspects of bakery production.
